Facing
The Giants

"Leave everything out on the field.
Give God your best tonight. Whether
we leave the field victors or not, we
will give God the Glory."

Maybe it's because this film is all
to familar to me, having spent the majority
of my teen years strapped inside of
a helmet and shoulder pads; but this
film makes a lot of sense. Not to mention
it is one of the few "non-animated"
features in theatres right now that
I don't feel the need to rush home for
a "mind flush" with scriptures
before going to bed.
Great flick, I highly recommended.
To The Teen:
Be patient through the first few scenes,
the acting does get better. Give the
movie a chance...better yet give God
the chance to impact your life through
this movie. It makes a lot of sense
when you walk out of the theatre. Easy
to understand, practial, and above all
else; just plain honest. Pay attention,
you will take away more from this film
than you think.
To The Youth Pastor:
If you haven't made plans to take the
group to see this movie, you need to.
There are countless hours worth of material
for discussion, analogies and a ton
of other tools that will help you illustrate
some of the Bible's most simple concepts
that are often so hard to accept. One
word of advice; present the full meaning
of Matthew 19:26 (all things = Good
+ Bad).
I'm am thankful for movies like this. I enjoyed the movie on a personal level and then I also have the added opportunity of using it as a ministry tool for youth. Double Bonus!
Don't Quit, Don't Quit....
