What types of Children's Ministries does Twin Oaks offer?

Twin Oaks puts lots of time and energy into our youth and children's ministries. We believe that they are not only our church for tomorrow, but our responsibility for today. Included in our children's ministries are: Sunday School for each age group, Children's Church (ages 3-6), Awana, Children's Choirs and VBS. In addition to these regular events, we also plan various activities throughout the year. All activities are well supervised and each child's safety is a priority.

awana clubs

[Pre-K - 6th Grade]
Sundays 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Awana is an international, Bible-centered children's and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs for preschool through high school. Our goal is to reach children and their families with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

sunday school

[Ages 2+]
Sundays 9:45 am

Children are precious to our Lord and our Children’s Sunday School Department. Each Sunday School class offers an atmosphere that is warm and friendly with teachers that are caring. Our goal is to see our children grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.

Nursery

[Ages Infant - 3]
A nursery is offered during Sunday School and our morning worship service. We seek to provide a safe environment for our children and a time that will be enjoyable for them.

Sonshine gang

[Puppet Ministry]
The Sonshine Gang is a special ministry where colorful and animated puppets are used to teach children lessons about the love of God. Whether six or sixty, everyone always enjoys the Sonshine Gang!

Vacation Bible School

[Annual Children's Outreach]
Summer would not be complete without Vacation Bible School. We believe that VBS should be fun, exciting and most importantly – Christ centered. Through creative lessons and high-energy activities we strive to offer children a week that will be one of the highlights of their summer!
